The real estate market for the North Hills, Sierra Norte and Los Pinos area of Rio Rancho is ready for spring! The market, through the first two months of 2015 is up favorably compared to the first two months of 2014. The sold price per square foot averaged just over $2 more in 2015, compared to 2014. The homes that sold in the first two months of 2015 sold quicker, 51 versus 75 days (and 74 vs. 75 days total time on market). Homes sold for 97.39% of the listing price in 2015, which is up 4.15% over 2014. These all mean more money in the homeowner’s pocket after selling in 2015 versus 2014. We are heading into spring, which generally equates into a busier market with more buyers looking for homes. For buyers, there are still great values available in the area, especially in the North Hills neighborhood. Buyers can get a home for a lot less than they may expect in North Hills, and may be able to get into a home for a similar amount as a manufactured home.
